In our continuing efforts to enhance the benefits of being a union member, NTEU Chapter 228, in conjunction with the Federal Employees Education and Assistance Fund (FEEA), has established an annual Scholarship Fund.  Up to three (3) scholarships at a minimum of $1,000 each will be awarded each year to eligible Chapter 228 members and their immediate families.

There is also an added benefit.  All Chapter 228 scholarship applicants will also be eligible for one of the numerous general FEEA scholarships ranging from $250 to $2,500, as well as a $5,000 scholarship from the NTEU National Office.  And the best part about it is that you only have to fill out one application for the Chapter 228 scholarship.

In an effort to expand the rights, benefits and protections of Department of Energy (DOE) employees, NTEU recently reopened the NTEU-DOE collective bargaining agreement. On Oct. 1, NTEU submitted proposals to DOE to reopen 21 contract articles ranging from awards and transit subsidies to travel and personnel records.
